Welcome to my website
I'm Andy Love, the Labour and Co-operative Party Member of Parliament for Edmonton. I hope that this site provides you with some useful information about me and the constituency I represent, as well as local news and updates on the work that I am doing in Westminster and photos from some of the events that I have attended.
If you live in Edmonton you can find out how to contact me by phone or email, and how to arrange an appointment to see me at one of my regular advice surgeries.
There is also a link to my blog, which I update as regularly as I can. Please feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you think of it.
Enjoy the site!
Boundary changes
As you may be aware, the Boundary Commission has put forward a set of proposals to reduce the number of constituencies and MPs from 650 to 600. In Edmonton their proposal means joining parts of our existing constituency with parts of Chingford.
It is a move that would put our sense of community at stake as our constituency would be permanently divided in two by the Lee Valley, over a mile of reservoirs and industrial estates, as well as a high-speed railway line. It also risks short-changing the constituents of both Edmonton and Chingford as there would be just one Member of Parliament who would have to split his time between two completely separate areas.
Members of the public are being invited to have their say on the proposals until 5 December 2011. If you would like to take part then please click here.
Expenses
Included in my website is a section about the Parliamentary Allowances that I claimed between 2004 and 2008, including all of the documents that I submitted to the House of Commons authorities. You can see the full details of these by clicking here.
In May 2010, responsibility for administering expenses was handed over to the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA), and they regularly publish information on all of the claims made by Members of Parliament.
