Sunday, 11 May 2008 As soon as I was elected in 1997, I set up an office in the constituency. This office is open for people to drop in or phone with their issues and concerns. So far I have dealt with over 6,000 cases and the number grows by the day. When I was elected I decided to be as accessible as possible to my constituents. I have tried to take up the issues that matter to them and respond to their concerns. It is very satisfying when I am able to help someone out with a problem that they may have. I wish I could do more as often. It can be difficult to keep track of all the issues and developments in the constituency.
